Voted BEST MUSIC FESTIVAL IN MARIN year after year, the party of the summer is the the 9th Annual Far West Fest - happening July 26th in Point Reyes.
Gates opening at 10am, for acoustic Sunrise Café Sessions (coffee, smoothies, pastry, mimosas, yoga). You’ll find three stages of top-notch, original music from national touring acts like the Honey Island Swamp Band and New Monsoon, and Bay Area up-and coming talent like The Seshen, in a variety of genres from Bluegrass to Funky R&B.
The Far West Fest benefits worthy non-profits, including KWMR Radio, youth causes, West Marin Community Services and our home, Love Field. Come for wine tasting, artisan food delights (including oysters! and BBQ), the award-winning, Roneil Powel Kidz Zone, and unique, handmade, curated craft vending, all in a beautiful setting on a grassy, green site at the foot of Inverness Ridge.

The FWF Hosts Three Stages, offering a lineup of blues, funk, rock, folk, experimental, bluegrass and world music; internationally touring acts and local favorites.
The 2014 Line-up on our Far West East and West Main Stages include performances by: New Orlean’s own Honey Island Swamp Band (Bayou Americana- started in Bay Area during Katrina aftermath) New Monsoon (Guitar virtuosity, Rock, World Fusion w/ Jazz to Latin themes, and strong vocals and harmonies) Locura (Rock, funk w/ Latin rhythms, heavy weight female vocals) The Seshen (Female-fronted, urban electronic R&B) Grateful Bluegrass Boys (Hot Buttered Rum Side Project with Chris Haugen, David Thom and members of Poor Man’s Whiskey) Grease Traps (Hard-driving funk, Afro-funk and soul-jazz) and San Geronimo (Just booked!- Hard Driving Americana Taking the music world by Storm)
Far West Fest Sunrise Café Sessions- This year, we’ll start our day at 10am! The acoustic stage will open the festival accompanied by a morning cafe theme with pastries, coffee, juices and guided yoga, to welcome festival goers as they arrive. How about some stretching to acoustic music as the sun rises? Get the toes tapping with a cup o’ joe to start the day? Whatever the reason, these musicians are the introduction to the amazing vibe that IS Far West Fest every year!

North Bay Hootenanny Stage at the Willows - Josh Windmiller and The North Bay Hootenanny promote live music in the North Bay, booking local and touring performers at the Rivertown Revival, Handcar Regatta, Mystic Theatre, Arlene Francis Center, and much more. Now, this Sonoma County project is coming to Marin with a beautiful, vintage Vaudeville music stage at the Far West Fest in the newly created “Willows Cicle” Featuring: Frankie Boots & The County Line, The Crux, Mr. Danny Vitali, Girls + Boys, Heather Van Cleve Band (more detail at Far West Fest website)
